Pantone Releases Its 2016 Palette & Color of the Year

Color of the Year 2016

Today Pantone introduced to the world its 2016 Pantone Color of the year. This year they introduced the much-anticipated color in a very non-traditional manner, by choosing two colors. The two shades introduced are Rose Quartz, a warm rose tone and Serenity, a tranquil blue. The colors are a balance of calm and ethereal. Along with the two colors pantone has released eight complimentary palettes that will inspire color in everything from fashion and interiors to print and digital design.

“Appealing in all finishes, matte, metallic and glossy, the engaging combo joins easily with other mid-tones including greens and purples, rich browns, and all shades of yellow and pink. Add in silver or hot brights for more splash and sparkle.” – Pantone Color Institute
