The programming language made popular through it properties of speedy performance and safety, is now open source. Since originally presented by Apple last year, it has become one of the fastest growing languages, used in everything from mobile to desktop apps. Other features that make the programming a favorite is that it is clean and easy to write, diminishing the probability for mistakes.
The Swift team’s move to make the language open source, comes from recognizing the demand of the language for modern programing needs and best practices. They hope that the use of the open source language leads to a broader adaptation of the language across other platforms and even hopes to further the career of students.
